After watching the film I was left wondering where exactly do I begin?
Fortunately Food Matters didn’t let me down. The Detox and Rejuvenation Guide eBook includes a 3-10 day detox program, information on raw living foods and superfoods, a 7 day meal plan as well as the recipes to prepare these meals.

A great bonus to these nutritious recipes are that they do not contain any common allergy causing foods, so you can prepare these meals with ease knowing you won’t react to them!

Thanks guys!!

I decided to buy the food matters dvd and detox program. The dvd was so interesting i got all of my family to watch it and now everyone is eating a lot more raw food – thank god i say because my dad ate terribly and he wouldn’t listen to me!!
With the detox, i found i didn’t last very long because i got really hungry. So i managed to do 3 days tops. But even though i didn’t manage to do it for a long time, i think all the other info given in the detox guide is worth it anyway. All of the information about different super foods and their benefits was a huge plus for me because i always got confused between wheat grass and barley grass. So big thumbs up for me

If they are stating that the drug industry is dragging everyone down because of money.. and the push to produce. Why are they charging us for this book? Shouldnt this information be readily given to us online? Not to sound cheap, but really?

Yes, or atleast a bit more cost effective: $20 for an enbook? Really?
Ptah commented on 26-Nov-2010 09:13 PM5 out of 5 stars
Nope, because they still have to pay in the shop for veg. and fruits. Would you do what you do for living for free? They don't either. This is how today's society works. Great book if you don't have time to spend hours to find the info it contains.

Yeah I spent $5 to watch the movie online, and now I'm left with questions like how to detox which I would LOVE to just read about on the site!

Also the lady in the film states that if you're trying to detox and switch to totally organic foods you could damage your body, but does not go on and list how to properly do this without damaging ones body.

They mentioned with proper detoxification like colonics and enemas and other ways. Pay attention...

I found the Food Matters DVD very interesting which is why I'm here at this site. However, I must agree with one of the posters here, $25 for a single DVD? Nobody charges that much for a DVD these days. You'd probably make more sales if you cut that in half and in the end, not only reach more people but make more money to fund your research. Just a thought...

Curious... does anyone complain when they get to the cash register to spend a ridiculous amount on a popular handbag or pair of jeans??? How much would you pay to watch your favorite concert (which lasts a few hours of your life) Yet we always say "oh, I can't afford to eat organic/healthy"
Adrian commented on 16-Dec-2010 01:29 AM5 out of 5 stars
Brilliant DVD. And hey enough with the moaning about price and stuff. How long would it take the average person to find out all this information, some of which goes back years, and put it all together, especially as most people don't even know what it is they are looking for. Be grateful that some body bothered to get it out there and make it easy for everyone to at least get started on a better way of life.

I just watched Foodmatters on netflix, and was blown away! I didn't realize all the foods we're eating (I'm eating) is potentially killing us, and can eventually result in outrageous medical bills. When I could just eat raw healthy foods and take care of myself. I guess I just never looked at it like that- To be proactive about how your health and realize this could be a life or death situation. Society has really deranged our thinking of medicine. Correct the problems yourself from the beginning the right way.
The Bio Titan commented on 22-Dec-2010 05:16 PM5 out of 5 stars
Can I just chime in and say that some of the comments regarding price are direct examples of the societal shift that needs to be made. We will spend hundreds on clothes and meals eating out, sometimes even $50 a week on gourmet coffeemochalatteccinos and the information provided in a $25 DVD and $20 eBook can SAVE YOUR LIFE. Granted you can buy the latest idiotic romantic comedy on DVD at Best Buy for $9.99 but that does nothing for your longevity and health. So next time you blow $45 bucks on dinner at TGIF, yet complained about the $45 on materials to save your life.. you probably shouldn't come here to complain about it! Not only can you help yourself but I have helped countless friends and family members to turn their lives around with REAL results. No I don't work for Food Matters, but maybe I can be in it if they make a part 2 ;)

ok i absolutely loved Food Matters but at the same time I'm confused - they basically tell you that even if you DO eat raw and organic foods, the agriculture is the problem. The way things are being grown, the "soil" is bad, etc. so what the heck are we supposed to do?
Alison commented on 24-Dec-2010 02:45 PM5 out of 5 stars
Do more self directed research folks, who would ever imagine that we could learn all we need to know in 80 minute, I am very grateful to all those involved in making this film, watching it has reinvigorated my interest in my health and my responsibility to invest in my health. Maybe check the definition of organic for starters

I'm pretty sure none of this is overpriced. What I did notice is these additional purchases are put together by the producers of the film food Matters. The producers are the same people featured in the film? The actual experts? I think I will look at the resources available from the experts first instead of from the people that market the information.

Absolutely brilliant guys!! Thank you so much!!! My mother's partner has just discovered he's got heart problems and is due for 8 hours of hospital tests in January 2011. No doubt he will be prescribed a range of nasty medications. Before I saw the DVD, I asked him what had he eaten that day? He said, three mince pies, porridge, a peanut butter sandwich and a banana. As it happened, that was three Christmas mince pies!! Not meat mince pies. Gawd blimey!! Anyway, after much effort I finally got him to watch the DVD. He was truly amazed and now he is all fired up to change his diet and no doubt if he applies the information, it WILL SAVE HIS LIFE!!! Thank you so much for also providing the information on how to put it all into practice. And as to the price ... well it is beyond me why anyone would complain about paying for DVDs and materials. The prices are very reasonable and how much is your health worth? Hallo!!! Anyway, again, a million thanks and keep up the brilliant work guys!!! Best wishes, Jo

If you don't feel your health is worth the price of a dvd and e-book wait until you develop a disease and see how much money you pay to relieve symptoms and continue to have the disease.

My husband and I too just watched the film on Netflix and are thoroughly impressed! We're at a point in our lives where we realize we are what we eat and are ready for a change. Today we bought all-organic groceries for the first time and, interestingly, learned we need to detox (!) the crap out of our bodies from this video. We're seriously considering buying the e-book. I will post again with results. Thanks so much for putting together all this information!

This movie is excellent and the producers should be highly praised. I agree that spending money on your health should be a priority. I bought 10 DVDs and gave them away with Xmas gifts, hoping family and friends will watch them and pass them on. My husband and I followed a mercury detox program 5 years ago (with similar principles to this) through a biological dentist in Qld and felt amazing - all health problems, even niggly ones disappeared, we lost weight and had so much more energy. Then I fell pregnant unexpectedly at 45 having given up trying 5 years earlier, resulting in a very healthy baby. Detoxing is definitely so important for our health and living back-to-basics without chemicals to avoid future health problems. And let's give our children a chance to live a healthy life from the start.

Please share with everyone you know and care about. At the very least it will spark some thought process.

Thank you for making this great film!

I watched last night on Netflix also.. awesome!.. My husband and I have been slowly (lazily) transitioning to an all plant based diet and more raw.. This movie helped with a (what are you waiting for??!! attitude) that's I needed... Other movies I highly recommend everyone to watch are Food Inc. and Dirt the movie.. all currently insant watch on Netflix. It can all get overwellming, but educating yourself is the first important step.. then baby steps from there are better than no steps at all.

So $20 for the eBook and $25 for the DVD? I'll pass, I'm afraid. I can easily find this info on YouTube and other sites. There's lots of great juicing web sites to learn how to cleanse/fast. I'll put my $45 towards organic produce. I only popped over here because a friend of mine started this fast. Good luck, everyone! :-)

I loved this movie. I don't know how anyone couldn't. Globably we're moving into a time of great change and this is part of that change. With this information we have been given the oppertunity to take our power back and to stop handing our lives and wellbeing over to the care of others - after all it is we who are the masters and the creators of our lives. What are we creating today for ourselves?

I also just watched the film on Netflix and it has inspired me to start researching. I will be buying the DVD's for family and friends. I also wish that people would see the benefit of supporting this site. We pay extreme amounts of money for unneeded items and yet are not willing to spend money at a site like this that benefits us.

After watching the video on Netflix, it would seem a lot of us out here are excited about the next step. What is interesting is that rather than just create a .org and have the information freely available, this is obviously just one more money scheme. While the information may be useful and pertinent, what we need is to freely educate everyone about this, not make it one more capitalist pit fall.

And for those of you who say "What, it's only $45 dollars." You're missing the very heavy handed point made by the movie itself about pharma-med being all about profit and how vitamins can't be profitable etc. Well, this seems a roundabout way to make them profitable eh? Charging for information that will be electronically transmitted? That, at most, should be $5. Yes, our health is priceless, but that doesn't mean this is any less of a con.

ED: Hi there - I completely understand your frustration - I know it feels like everyone is just out to make money. Although we would love to give all the products and information away for free, our purchasing costs to make it available in the first place make it impossible to do so. We also incur many other costs which we have no way of meeting if we do not charge something for the DVDs and information we provide. The eBook is $19.95 or $9.95 if purchased with a copy of Food Matters - not sure if there has been a misunderstanding in thinking the eBook is $45. Hope you can understand. Jess @ Food Matters.

After watching the film I was left feeling helpless, not sure what to eat. According to the film, even the organic fruit I buy at the grocery store is at least a week old and therefore doesn't contain all the nutrients it should. So why bother? The film doesn't offer any solutions. After checking out this website I can see why. $60 for recipe DVDs, $20 for an eBook on detoxing, etc. Wow. Buy, buy, buy!
While I enjoyed the film, it didn't really tell me anything I didn't already know. It's common sense. There are an inordinate number of websites out there that offer healthy/ organic/ raw/ vegetarian recipes for FREE. This website and film are nothing more than an informercial and the giant disclaimer at the end of the credits in the movie confirm it, while simultaneously negating many of the points made in the film. Sorry, guys. You have the right ideas but it saddens me that you are trying to make a profit off common sense which in turn discredits your "experts".
ED: Hi there- thanks for your comment. Unfortunately we are unable to give away the DVDs and products for free due to our purchasing and running costs that we need to at least cover. Aside from this our team do need to pay their own bills and have money to feed themselves, etc. James and Laurentine want to continue making movies which can help change peoples lives for the better - but all of this costs money. This information may be common sense to you - that is great to hear! Unfortunately not everyone is aware of this information, we are trying to reach as many people as possible - films seem to be a great way to do this. I hope you can understand. Jess @ Food Matters

I watched Food, Inc and Food Matters tonight. I got TONS of insite from Food Matters and I will spend the $25 to better myself with the e-book. Thank you guys for making this film to open my eyes to be a better/healthier person. It's crazy how easy it is to get lost in what is "convinient" to eat without realizing what you're doing to your body. Can't wait to detox and get on track!

I just watched Food Matters and found very very informational. I am just wondering if people realize that this information took a lot of time and money and huge amounts of effort to put together. Making a film is not free. Spending a few dollars on some great info seems silly to complain about. I personally think about all the costs of medications and doctor visits I could be avoiding by spending a measly amount of money. Yes there is a ton of free information out there but you have to spend valuable time hunting it down. These folks put it all together for us. That is worth skipping a dinner out with my husband or not buying fancy coffee for a week.

I just watched Food Matters for the first time on Netflix and I loved it. I am 24 years old and graduated with a Pre Med major and a minor in chemistry. I have worked in a pharmacy all through college and originally planned on going to either pharmacy or medical school. The only problem was that Western Medicine did not make sense to me. Unless it is for an acute problem it simply treats symptoms and not the underlying problem. I have been out of school for 2 years and trying to determine what I want to do for graduate school/a career and I can tell you that this has inspired me. It makes sense! I see first hand every day what drugs to to people and it is CRIMINAL that this is considered "health care." Thank you to everyone who was involved with this film. Finally brilliant minds that are not being brain washed!

To those that are commenting on the cost... ask yourself what you pay for your designer handbags or clothing... really? How many do you need? $25 to forever change your health as opposed to THOUSANDS on that lap band surgery or a FUNERAL?!? Am I being a little dramatic? Sure. But thin how many times you've gone out to a bar and spent TWICE that to infuse your body with alcohol. WAKE UP! FYI, I'm on here because I spend $25 on CANDY and eat it in one sitting, so yeah, I can talk!
John commented on 11-Mar-2011 01:32 AM5 out of 5 stars
I watched Foodmatters on Netflix last night. All I can say is, "Wow! " I am convinced about the importance of food as medication and food as a toxin. I would rather choose food as medication and healthy fuel.

I have lost 35lbs in the last 6 months and I am experiencing the benefits of this. One realization, for me, has been medication effects of exercise.

So, I am looking at this Idea of detoxing as a medical prevention medical procedure. I plan to purchase the book right now. If I did not like the price or the possible value it might give, I would not buy it. Nothing in life is free. If anyone ever gives something free, they want some other value. The idea that something is free sometimes diminishediminishes perceived value.

I will let you know if the book adds value to me. The documentary has already added value to me. Thanks!

I must say I agree on the issue of price. I own the DVD and love it, and as so many others here I would love to go further with the shift in my diet and lifestyle. But $19.95 for a guide is excessive and unfortunate because so many people who really want and need this help will not be able to get it. It always seems to come down to the bottom line - money, especially in the health industry. Too bad.

I am over the moon!!. I am just now after a year of marriage trying to plan our food menu. We eat organic; are from two different cultures and lifestyles and have now agreed to embrace health- at a financial cost ofcourse. I have tried to find a particular cuisine that would suit us and that we were sure to find in this country. The way to prepare a meal was also influencing our decision with regards to which global cuisine to embrace. But me o my, I cannot believe that everything can be put together RAW. Advocating healthy eating in this manner is by far the best excuse for me not the burn our NON STICK pots and pans. This way seems to be less stressful and less demanding than most cultural meal preparations. I cannot tell you how far over the moon I am that I can go raw. What this new discovery means for me ofcourse is that I have to now put that menu plan aside for a while so that I can do extensive research in order to construct the best edible menu for the seasons, budget and what can be found around us. I would also need to search for recipes that does not require the use of a fridge, as we have refrained from using one due to the harms.

What I am not so excited about though are the costs of this way. It is unfortunate that being and eating healthy now costs money. Alot of money. And we are just starting out. For sure we would be using less electricity I suppose but what goes for all the ingredients that we cannot find in the ordinary supermarkets. We would obviously have to get it at the health stores with health store prices.
Anyway, I have come to the point where I CANNOT sit on the fence or run from one side of the fence to the other. You have to choose a side once you are informed. It is time for bed now, but after watching the documentary, Food Matters, I have a knew energy that doesn't allow my mind to rest. I desire to learn more.
I wish you all the success in this life and the next. God Bless you.
Yours

I can't believe that people will spend plenty of money for selfish gain and not spend just $19.00 an informative e-book. It is people like this that ruin society. I have observed that people will pay lots of money for people to lie to them and will pay
little or no money to get the truth.

Great information - does a good job of putting it all together and giving people facts that they would otherwise not have found or maybe even cared to. I believe that it is common sense that the way we eat now is not recommended. If it takes a PhD to read
a ingredient label then forget about it. If Coke can dissolve a nail and clean my battery acid why drink it? Anyways, people dont forget that you can watch the film on Netflix as well.

If you are frustrated by low quality produce at your local market and don't like the high prices at the "boutique" health food stores, find a local farmer's market. The produce there should be locally grown and organic AND, yes, less than a week old. If
in doubt, ask the folks selling at the market...they're usually the same people who grow the stuff! Good luck.

I couldn't believe how much better I felt after one day of the detox. I managed to make it the full three days before the hunger got the best of me. Afterwords I fell back off the wagon and went back to my old ways. I really want to attempt the full 10
day detox and rebuild the right way. Is the 10 day detox the same as the 3 day, but for 10 more days. Also, I wish the detox was a little more detailed as far as preparing the juice for each phase. Knowing the amount of each raw food wasn't quite enough for
a beginner like myself. I really needed to know how to prepare the food before juicing it even though I did figure it out. Also, I'm not lucky enough to live in a big enough town to find a lot of these ingredients, so I just had to order them online.

I must agree, I was a bit surprised at the costs for the dvd's and other products. And I do NOT buy lattes or eat out very often for the very reason the dvd agrees with - processed foods are not my friend. I am on a limited budget - I actually watched
this dvd from my library - if that tells you anything. I have been spending more on my food because I recognize what is needed for healthy nutrition. My first thought is to get the dvd's in the wholesale section and share them with people I think are in a
position to best benefit from this information - cancer survivors or those in the throes of battling cancer. So, $12.48 is ok (buying 10), when I put it in that perspective. $12.48 to help someone save their life?

I love it..There is a health food store called Zerbo's I'm not sure if it is nationwide but it is here in Michigan...they sell everything you need to achieve a healthy lifestyle as well as wheatgrass shots juiced right in front of you, organic food..supplements,
even organic makeup. I am going to buy the book. This is the first start to changing my life.

Amazing facts and hats off to the producers, director and all the gurus who have shared history of valuable information about nutrition. I have started thinking and living on the facts relayed in this movie. In fact I have recommended and forced some of
my inner circle friends to watch this. I have requested couple of friends who are fighting cancer to watch this movie. Good Luck to the team involved. I request them to keep spreading the word till each one of us demand a radical change to medical practitioners

Firstly I want to commend everyone behind Foodmatters for putting this information together & getting it out there and planting the seed. It's the wake up call that so many people like me (& actually everyone in the western world) need to take the steps
to improve their quality, longevity & vibrancy of life!!! I am 26 and have been healthy for the most part of my life in terms of diet and lifestyle, however have many times in the last couple of years (especially since moving to the city) suffered mentally
and physically from up's & downs I believe where caused by toxin build up's in my body from the fast & chemical filled food I was buying from the supermarket frozen/ canned & packet sections, even the bakery sections... I began slipping with my healthy eating
as my life became busier and work became more demanding, and the scary thing is it seemed to happen without me even noticing, step by step getting more complacent and eating worse & worse. From there it was about 6 months before I started to notice the weight
piling on, 8kg to be exact. Then my mind seemed to slip, forgetfulness, vagueness then into depression... I had no energy was gaining weight and sinking into a dark hole. Quick/junk food became a temporary band-aid especially on lonely nights, but that didn't
last long as I missed a day of work from intense nausea so I had to go to the doctors & get a certificate for my missed day at work... And hey presto - one visit to the doctor and I ended up with a 2 month prescription for zoloft with no questions about my
diet or prior history. This was the toxic overload that I believed tipped me into a real depression, 2 weeks of heavy drinking & the worse headache of my life later I knew I had to stop the zoloft immediately & go on a detox! Since then I have moved back to
the country and finally sorted my head out after only 6months of this bad eating & 2 weeks on the anti-depressants, and 6 months on now I have been diagnosed with poly-cystic ovary syndrome which is basically cysts on the ovaries & a hormonal imbalance which
can make it hard to get pregnant & can also lead to diabetes... I believe it was a combination of my toxic diet & the contraception (deprovera) I was on last year that have caused me all these problems & grief, & this damage in a matter of only 12 months...
I can't even imagine the condition my body would be in after 2, 5 even 10 years of treating it like that?!? After finding out I had a high risk of developing diabetes and might have not be able to conceive I've been in a whirlwind of emotions, but now after
seeing the DVD I have both faith in my bodies healing powers & so much thanks for getting the shock I needed to snap back into my old healthy eating & exercise plan! And not just that but the way I see my body, how I treat it and the way I think & feel about
what goes into maintaining a healthy mind, body & lifestyle have just been revamped to the way it should have been all along!!! You may have just saved my life or helped me start the building blocks for a healthy little one in the future :D forever greatful!
<3 & peace to everyone P.s I'm a student but will definitely be purchasing the e-book & also from Australia so the book is easy for me to purchase with no delivery time & in my mind a very reasonable price considering content & benefits!!! :p

I loved the film! Had friends watch it too!! I, like another who commented previously, am currently breastfeeding my 6 month old. I would love to do the detox but would like more information on if it is safe to do so while nursing or when it would be appropriate
to do so or if there can be changes made to the detox so it can be done while nursing. I ask this because I plan on breastfeeding for at least another 6 months to a year and I would hate to wait that long to cleanse for the health of myself and my nursing
daughter.

I would first like to say that this movie was a huge eye opener for me. Before I thought eating healthy meant things like moving to artificial sweeteners. Wow was I wrong! I am considering purchasing the Detox DVD as that part concerns me a bit. I am a
VERY poor mom with 4 small children and am not sure about the cost of going 100% organic. I already grow some of our food, but do not have a green thumb, as they say. I am hoping through determination and patience, that this will not be as difficult a transition
as my family has made it sound (they are not very supportive of the idea). Grateful for all of the info, and book references. Wish me luck!

Thanks for the great film. Really learned a lot and have passed on a lot of information. I suffer from many allergies and have been trying to find a way to get over them naturally. I thought I was eating really healthy because I buy organic and avoid the
things that aren't including produce. The problem is where I live in rural Montana, you have to drive 150 miles round trip to buy organic lettuce/carrots and all the rest of the organic produce is a 400+ mile round trip to purchase. Which we don't get to do
very often. So I wasn't eating produce except in the summer months from my garden. Now I realize it's better to eat produce even if it's not organic than to not eat it at all. And I thought I was really healthy. No wonder I have so many allergies. Thanks again
for the information. Look forward to your next film.

It amazes me how people drive nice cars, have 200 channels on their big screen TVs with a 60+ dollar/mo package, have smart phones with data package, jewelry, nice clothes, go the the casinos to gamble, even smoke, and can not afford 50 bucks here and
there for their health. I can only watch one channel at a time so I have basic cable at 17 bucks/mo..lookie I found my money for the plan, I drive older cars that I purchase with cash, no monthly payment for car or full coverage insurance costs...oops freed
up some moe money..wait...a lot moe money and I shop at Ross. I do splurge on Netflicks, which saves another ton of money not going to theater or renting 5 bucks a pop at BB and offsets the cost of the big screen with 7.1 surround. So many people have the
mentality when it comes to their health..."If it's FREE then it's for me", then not bat an eye paying the tab at the local Mexican lard laden restaurant at 20 buck/head. I have always believed high doses of Vit C could cure. Before my Dad died of prostrate
CA I was pushing this type of treatment and my mother, retired nurse, turned a death ear to me because her doctor said Chemo was the way to go, too bad I just learned of this site......

Just watched this movie on Netflix last night after my brother told me it was very interesting and an eye-opener. He just graduated nursing school and I am in my final year of nursing school. At one point in the film I felt sick to my stomach (prob from
all the chemicals I ingested throughout the day). I realized that I am giving my patients these medications which basically treat the symptoms and keep people somewhat sick. I am left in a moral dilemma. How can one future nurse go to work everyday and feed
these people chemicals that really have no benefit to the human healing response? I am basically killing these people slowly while pharmaceutical companies reap the profits. BUT I need to have a job and make a living. Of course I do not want people to be sick,
but sick people are who I care for. And on the other hand, I truly believe this type of treatment is amazing and should become a movement in this country. It sounds selfish, but I am only one person and cannot bring our system down alone. Strike? Picket? Protest?
Something needs to be done. Who's going with me?

If you seriously have a problem dropping $20 to get this information then don't buy it! Keep doing what your doing an getting the same results. Go to your doctor and drop $25 on your copay then go to the pharmacy and pay another $25 for your crappy prescription
and another $15 on your dinner at McDonalds and then, oh yeah don't forget when you have that heart attack, or unfortunately get cancer, it's only going to cost you a mere $50-100,00.00 minimum!! It's all about priorities. In the grand scheme of things living
healthy and buying organic and maybe spending a little money here and there on a movie or a book which provides you some education on how do to that is not only priceless, but in the end is way cheaper than modern medicine will ever be. Think..

dollars and giving you your life back. If you can't stomach $25 for a DVD you probably can't change your lifestyle either. BUCK UP people. The alternative is MUCH worse and MUCH more expensive.

I bought this DVD a while ago and every time I watch it I'm struck with the absolute rightness of the information. Brilliantly put together. They are possibly not allowed to prescribe an action plan in this film and are simply bringing the facts to light
for people who have never been exposed to the truth. I've been eating 100% raw and live foods since April and have not only dropped $40 pounds, rid myself of ALL my physical ailments and complaints and have AMAZING energy, but people say I'm glowing! I feel
SO GOOD! That's WORTH the cost of the ebook and DVD. Most of my relatives and many others died or are suffering terribly from heart disease, diabetes, and cancer, which I absolutely get to avoid now from a diet and lifestyle perspective! It feels AWESOME to
eat this way and live as cleanly as possible. When I was younger I took my health for granted, never knowing what was actually happening in my body. Now I do. Consider the incredible costs of acute health care for older people and perhaps your perspective
will change. Mine did.

Brilliant movie and I was pleased. Yes I am aware of most of this info but it pushed me further to study more and make more changes. Price is necessary people who made this devote their time to this as we do at work all day. Do we expect after hours of
work our boss will say well today you work for free to benefit a good cause. We all have families to feed and bills to pay to live everyday. Considering that my Mother may spend 100 or more dollars a month on medicine I think we can afford this to change how
much a month we spend on pure junk. I also think if you do not live life this way that is your choice. However this is no cult its knowledge that has been hidden from most of us. We have a choice to either do what we feel is best for us or complain for the
next 20 yrs we look and feel the same. What do you have to lose to try this approach? Not much considering our world is such a mess with nutrition as it is.

Absolutely Brilliant movie. If you are new to nutrition, this movie will shock you! The message is clear... you are ultimately responsible for your health. If you want quality health and wellness, you must research and change your attitude from a fix it
with a pill, to one of taking responsibility. You have everything you need to heal from disease contained within you. You need to tune in and feed your starving body. North America is the fattest, malnourished sick country in the entire world. Why is that?
because of what you put on your fork! Change your food choices-changes agriculture-we have that power! Change is due, create a new paradigm, change your lifestyle, change your thoughts and you will have enormous satisfaction in doing it yourself! Where to
start? Right here with Food Matters.

I have done a lot of research on the effects of alkaline or acid residue from eating foods and the damage an acid diet can have. Food Matters, however, put the food (and vitamins) in a new perspective. In general I was wrongly looking at food in terms
of caloric intake and not as nutritional intake. Once you start to ask yourself how much nutrition am I getting from this food instead of how fattening is it, you start to appreciate how important nourishment really is to your body.

the movie just a blessing upon humanity... I have read some of the reviews some wonderful some very judgmental and expecting everything to be given and presented in plate for free just is not right. The movie has not left me in the dark at all. Contrary made
sure that all is in my hand. Stated all the facts that are out there and told me to eat healthy be my own doctor and search for the knowledge. The movie kept saying "what you eat is who you are" and I want to add to that profound truth "WHAT YOU EAT AND WHAT
YOU THINK IS WHO YOU ARE." THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR EFFORTS....

I've done this detox & wanted to contribute to the great cause of breaking the chains America has enslaved itself with in regards to diet. I did 5 complete days Mon-Fri. Monday a.m. I weighed 220 & Saturday a.m. I weighed 210 (I'm 6' & should be more like
195). After telling a colleague I lost 10lbs in 5 days he made a comment on how unhealthy that is, but to the contrary, way more healthier than what I was doing to my body. I fell absolutely fantastic, at times having a mild euphoric sense (after drinking
a juice meal or afternoon snack). Nor did I really ever feel hungry, it's not a starvation detox. My body is very grateful! This detox is *expensive* & a good juicer is required (a MUST-have anyway for one who values health, who does not have the time to prepare
meals as one did 100 years ago). But, forgo the fancy car, or the fancy clothes, or the fancy pad & spend your money on something more valuable. Saturday I resumed my regular tea/strawberries/pumpkin seed/flaxseed/honey/whey morning shake & 2-shot latte, but
juiced the same & 2 teas a day. Sat night I did a 20 mile bike ride. Sun for lunch I ate a very tasty grass-fed buffalo burger (with a green chili but no cheese or mayo) & sweet-potatoe fries (with 2 tbsp BBQ). Mon morning my body informed me it did not appreciate
the greazy fries at all! I weighed in at 207. This week I'm doing ~60% of the detox, having my morning shake & latte, weaning back into more solid foods but juicing every day & 2 teas a day. Had sushi for lunch yesterday & a spinach salad with some left-over
tuna from lunch for dinner. Today I weighed in 206. There are probably cheaper programs out there, but this one really seems to be cream-of-the-crop as far as real impact & quality. I recommend... - do it with at least 1 or maybe 2 others to reduce wasted
food & accountability - read & understand the program first, including the 7-day meal-plan items so you don't over-buy - plan on committing a significant amount of time to read the PDF, shop, & prepare servings - get a quality juicer. Breville's JE98XL is
good for 1 or 2 people, I got the BJE510XL & LOVE IT (good for 2-4) - juice & store, juice 2 days worth & store it, cleaning the juicer is time-consuming but not terrible I've also implemented getting only 7-7.5 hours of sleep each night about 2 weeks ago.
My clothes fit better, I feel great, & my mental state is solid. The design of God's creation is specific, we are created no differently than a car is created to use a certain fuel, in that we are only optomized for max efficiency & longevity if we put the
right fuel in our mouth. Be strong & reject the filth of the unhealthy endulgencences Americans have become acustom to. Demand organic & healthy meats & fish!! Evangelize Food Inc, Food Matters, & Forks Over Knives!! If we can get American physically & mentally
healthy then maybe we can get this once great nation spiritually healthy! I gave a rating of 4 because I was financially capable of this program, otherwise I probably would have given it a 3, but that only reflects the detox program, not this great outfit.

Hi, Mark here again -- Just wanted to bump up my 4 stars to 5 (& would have given the program a 4 if I weren't financially able to do it). Also, I was in Whole Foods & the ViatMix man was there showing off their product. I returned my juicer & got a VitaMix.
When I was juicing I had thought to myself "should I be wasting all this pulp & food matter?" (no pun intended ;) I'm much happier with the VitaMix because I'm getting all the nutrients & FIBERS! Plus, big bonus, you use much less produce (the whole veggie
or fruit of course yeilds more & so you use less) so it helps to cut costs on the over-all program. So, 5 stars from me!

Tremendous information worth every penny. Complainers who just waisted 25, 50 or 100 dollars on garbage from their grocery store should be thankful they wont do it again...or will they? Start with a water detox, I like it. Drinking that much pure water

WOW this movie is fantastic! I have been on a healthy raw food detox for the last 2 months and have felt absolutely fantastic, and this doco has made me even more determined to continue. The information I gained just by watching this was more than weeks
and weeks I have spent on the internet researching and spending $$$$ buying various books. So for those comments complaining about the cost... now really. You are investing in educating yourself about something very important - it doesn't cost a fortune so
stop being selfish and expecting things for free. I only wish I saw this film before I spent hours doing my own research. Thanks guys for doing this it's incredible and all so true!!! And speaking from experience, DO NOT underestimate the power of meditation....

Wow... just finished the movie! I consider myself very healthy..and this info. about food is lifechanging! I have always known about medicine and it's gross inability to treat diseases... thank you for articulating my thoughts and validating them. It is
awesome that you are teaching people in our country the truth, and challenging them to empower themselves with caring for their own health. LOVED THIS... had my four kids watch, and will recommend it to everyone. As for the cost of this info... it's cheaper
than cancer!! LOL! I will be praying for you to further your message of hope

I find myself very angry that this information is not out in general healthcare practice. I am an advanced practice nurse and I see patients every day suffering mightly from multiple diseases, nutrition is never addressed and if the conversation comes
to nutrition it is often poorly received beause the message my patients are hearing like everyone else is that their disease are largely a result of them being unlucky, having the worng genetics etc. I am happy to see the variety of healthcare disciplines
your speakers represent; I do think it is imperative that we start hearing the voice of those of us in ancillary healthcare roles - physical therapy, nursing, nutrition etc. It is time to stop allowing acute care medical pratices drive healthcare practice,
policy and education. Well I think I am going to show this clip to my students in my nutrition class! thanks for putting this out on the web with open access

The movie Foodmatters set me on a new path to better health. I have since read many books and watched other documentaries on this subject and it has opened my eyes. To anyone out there who thinks this is not worth the cost....how much are you paying for
health care? Are you getting any of this advice from your practitioners?

So how about having a mild heart attack, then a doctor that puts in a stent incorrectly and it tears open your artery. A "simple" procedure with an overnight stay turned into a 2 week stay in the hospital with massive medical bills followed by bankruptcy.
The respirator apparently injured my throat and I have a lot of pain breathing in cold weather, etc. Put the small cost into perspective folks.
tim_blx@hotmail.com commented on 19-Dec-2011 11:00 PM5 out of 5 stars
This sounds interesting. Too bad the price is that high thought. I agree that it is most likely worth the price - to increase your health (obviously) but the thing is that you're buying the book not knowing if you'll like it or not. If it's good that is.
Good for (you). As a student I don't have much money, and I cannot afford it, but I'll be sure to buy it as soon as I gotten some money!
Anonymous commented on 23-Dec-2011 10:53 AM5 out of 5 stars
I find some peoples comment on price interesting that anything related to health should be free, so the good folk that spend their time producing this program should live in poverty making no living, yet your not prepared to work in your job for free??
funny mind set
Jessica commented on 27-Dec-2011 12:06 PM5 out of 5 stars
A lot of these comments are completely upsetting. I wish I had seen this a year ago because I could have helped a friend. He was diagnosed with colon cancer at age 44. They thought the surgery took it all out and his scans looked clear! Then they did 12
sessions of chemo and after each session he would find a new ill or pain. By the 10th he was rushed to the hospital and they took out his galbladder. Then the bastards put him BACK on a NEW chemo before his wounds healed! I'm not a doctor and I know you have
to let the wound heal before putting them back on chemo because it kills all your cells (good and bad). Ugh. He passed away Friday, two days before Christmas, leaving his wife and two young kids. I wish so bad I had seen this last year to save my friends life.
To those of you bitching about the $20...not only is that the average cost of ONE doctor visit copay but its so far from the cost of your life or a loved ones. Get off your cheap ass and buy it for those you love. Thanks to the makers and I look forward to
more information in the future.

Amen Amanda! During the film, they kept repeating how simple it is to eat well-and that this is common knowledge (that the medical industry keeps from us). Many times they stated that this nutrition the best and cheapest way to heal yourself. Had I known
the entire film was nothing but a commercial to sell these "ebooks" (which cost next-to-nothing to distribute) I would never have watched it. This information IS available for free if you do your research. PS- Ash- why not just take the flaxseed oil? Why capsules?
Or do these con artists try to sell them too?

The documentary was well done...keep in mind they didn't have to make it in the first place!!!!!

How absolutely ridiculous to expect these products to be FREE! How much do you pay your Physician for an office visit, even with medical insurance? Everyone must make a living and a profit if they are to continue producing products ie dvds and books with
helpful information. During the movie it was mentioned that we will spend countless dollars on rent, mortgages, a new car, the latest technological gadget, but are concerned about paying for information and food products to contribute to the health and well
being of ourselves and our family. I have been eating as close to a 100% organic, whole food, plant based diet for years and do not spend any more on groceries than my peers, as I do not purchase chips, cookies, soda, frozen pizzas etc. I am also the only
sister of 4 who does not have Type II Diabetes and High Cholesterol or any other preventable disease. I attribute this to my diet and lifestyle. The same people who complain above about paying a small amount for a dvd/ebook would most likely not hesitate to
purchase music online or spend $30-$40 at the movie theatre purchasing unhealthy popcorn, candy, and soda for the family. Thank you for a wonderfully informational dvd. I have not yet purchased the book, but plan to now. I have recommended the dvd/documentary
to my family and friends in hope that they may examine their own diets and work to improve their health before it is too late.
Shelly commented on 11-Feb-2012 02:33 PM5 out of 5 stars
What I mean by that is, as others have been saying, we spend $30 on a meal that we poop out the following day, so why is $20 such a big deal when we are getting such an endless reward from the knowledge contained within!? Food matters is brilliant. To

and Tapped which I highly recommend. This is crazy! I am truly going to invest in learning more about the great things that GOD has initially created for our good that has sustained mankind for thousands of years before BPA plastic and processed meats and
mostly Greed! Thank you for this movie it has truly changed my whole prospective of thinking about what I decide to allow in this precious body that God has blessed me with.

Along with Food, Inc and Tapped, I recommend Forks over Knives (for the science of vascular disease) and Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead! $25 is not too much for a video that can save me from an early grave. ANd this is not your ordinary DVD. Movie DVDs are
cheap because the movie is already produced and they have made their money at the box office. BTW...Doing a juice fast in 2 weeks for 1 week. Can't wait!

Good information. To the comments above: Sure eating healthy is more expensive IF your health insurance company is paying for all of your prescriptions! Our company just started an HSA and we now pay for all of our medications for a total of $2,800/mo.
We have already started eating healthier due to Food Matters (and other information as well) and have cut our medication costs by 75%. If they haven't done it yet, your company WILL start an HSA and you will end up paying! You are what you eat ...including
prescription drugs!

Just wondering if you can do the detox while nursing? I am assuming not but I thought I would check. My baby is 10 months and eats plenty of other foods. I plan on nursing for another 6 months or so and just anxious to do it. Thanks!
Ann commented on 12-Mar-2012 03:32 PM5 out of 5 stars
@Elise Doing a detox while pregnant or breastfeeding generally isn't a good idea as excess toxins and heavy metals will end up circulating to your baby, this is also a time to build, rather than cleanse to ensure that your baby has all the necessary building
blocks to start his/her life. I'd hold off doing a cleanse until after you have finished breastfeeding and spend this time building up your nutrition by including as many good things in your diet as possible and gently crowding out anything that isn't beneficial,
but go slowly - no extreme juicing or detox programs. We featured a great article on how to get pregnant naturally - these principles continue during pregnancy and breastfeeding to ensure your baby is receiving the optimal nutrition and best start in life

I haven't watched the movie, but I've been educating myself by surfing the web. The info IS out there! You can find a "raw-vegan" restaurant in your area (if you're lucky!), or google "raw vegan" and you'll be amazed at the info you'll find and where it
will lead you. I did a 28-day raw challenge starting on 1/1/12 and am still limping along, but I AM blending and juicing greens just about every day. I don't own a juicer- I blend greens/veggies in a blender and squeeze through a "nut-milk bag." (Any mesh
bag will do.) it's probably not quite as good as pressing through an expensive juicer, but I can't believe how EASY it is!! You will be amazed. Cheap, fast, and easy! Try it!! I also have added a salad with steamed veggies and beans mst says. Still struggling
to get the "junk" out, adding "the good stuff" in is a good start! Good luck!!

I am 25 years old. I've always eaten "right", been active, and maintained a healthy weight. However, I've been treated by western medicine and doctors my whole life and been on numerous pharmaceutical drugs, antibiotics, and steroids. For the last three
years, I've watched my health deteriorate, one problem after another. Last fall, I was even told I couldn't conceive a child if I desired. I have five doctors, including three specialists. I have been on an antibiotic for the last six months, with countless
short term doses preceding. After countless tests, labs, scans, procedures, I have no solid answers. Even worse, none of these doctors work together. I probably do not need to mention how much money I've spent. In the last two months, I have finally discovered
the scam that is western medicine, and the corruption that is our food production (I highly recommend Food Inc. as well). I spent zero dollars on a library card and countless hours combing through books. I began to eat as much organic and raw foods as possible
and purchased a juicer. I have also added various supplements and vitamins to my regime. I am already feeling a hundred times better. The next step, I will be working with only a naturopath, which I recommend wholistic healing to all. If you care to change
your life, and potentially change our world, educate yourself. I cannot wait to see where this journey continues to take me. I thank these producers and others with simar intent. And I will certainly purchase this ebook.

BumperBuffer is correct, there ralely is no such thing as detoxing your body. Because you can never completely regenerate your body like that (with the stuff that is in our food and the chemicals in the air it is beyond impossible.) Plus when you drown
yourself in herbs and diet shakes, you are only filling your body with more stuff. The key is natural stuff (the kind of natural that doesn't cost $59.95 per month) I'm talking about al natural' water, food, and pure fun. However, I do understand what you
mean it is good to clean out your system and renew your body. Who doesn't want something like that? What helps when doing such a thing is focusing on the basic principles of your body: physical, emotional/mental, and social. Really, all you need is a weekend
of just you time, then it naturally becomes part of your lifestyle. Drink water, eat fresh fruits and vegetables then eat a piece of chocolate cake (it can be large too as long as you only have one slice ;)), exercise, go shopping, have a girls' night with
your friends the key to a boosted metabolism is as much physical as it is mental. Chemicals probably effect it but stress is a key factor to lowered metabolism/energy and weakened immune system. My point is you should watch you eat but you don't have to count
every calorie. You can eat that piece of apple pie or peach cobbler. You can experiment with exercises and workouts that make you feel like a million bucks afterward. You should drink water (64 ounces everyday) but if you DO you can have that glass of wine
on Sunday. Talk to friends, read a book WRITE a book, you know?Detoxing has nothing to do with herbal teas, diet pills, or cutting every ounce of unhealthly thing in your life. Balance: feel good about yourself. The best part is, when you are exercising and
you like what you are doing, you are confident, you love who you are and your stress level is at the bare minimum check that metabolism rate, see how long you can go without nap, and count how many colds you get a year.Good luck.

The reason that Dr. Simeon's says not to inecjt during your period is because your body actually produces HCG during the menstrual cycle. I may be wrong, anyone feel free to correct me. So inecjting on those days would be a waste of your HCG. Also, the
more HCG in your system, the faster you become immune. If I were you I would go ahead and start loading now to get your normal fat reserves up and then start inecjting and loading for two more days after the period. I know I loading for a week this round,
only because I have been on so many diets before and I wanted to make sure my normal fat reserves were full. I am on my 9th day now, and have not had even the slightest bit of hunger the whole week.See the first week is sometimes hard since you may get hunger
pangs, that is why we load, so that our body can run off our normal fat for the first few days and keep us content until the hcg gets into our system and mobilizes the abnormal fat.Try to eat very high fat food, on my loading I had fried chicken, buttered
biscuits, chocolate, donuts, peanut butter cups, chips, etc. LOL I feel so strange telling you to eat all that but enjoy it!Also, whenever I am in the kitchen I wear gloves, only because I live with 8 other people and there is no telling what has oil on it.
That's right, even a drop of oil touching your skin will keep you from losing the next day. Be careful! Check all spices and foods for any sugar, oil, sugar alcohol, or aspartame(BAD).As far as shampoo and conditioner, I am using the same I normally do. I
have just reduced washing my hair to once or twice a week. I have curly hair so this is actually keeping my waves a bit more hydrated. The easiest thing is to just use your normal shampoo and conditioner and just wash your hair less. But expect to not lose
on the day you shampoo and condition. Normal showers are fine though, with -bar soap with no oil in ingredients-, just rinse your hair with water or use a shower cap.Btw, you WILL gain a lot of weight on your load days but don't worry, you will lose every
ounce of it within the first few days! I have started the Dr. Simeon's Protocol (original and only true HCG diet) about 5 times but different circumstances forced me to stop. I am finally able to do a full round, hopefully with no interuptions. It has been
9 days:I started at 178 (after loading)I am now at 165Round 1 Goal .148 or less ^_^A note, DO NOT freeze your HCG, no matter what anyone tells you. Just refrigerate. I lost a $70 bottle of HCG because I listened to someone else and froze it. HCG is very fragile
and freezing ruins it.Also, we can have vinegar and cucumbers on the diet, so some people say that means we can also have pickles. I have them sometimes. It's up to you, I have been losing fine. Just another thing you may consider if you get bored with your
food.Another note , there is a diet soda called Zevia, that is sweetened with Stevia (a sweet plant). Zevia has no calories, no sugar, its all natural. I found a few cans at my local Whole Foods store for 99cents a can. I've had two cans in a week and a half,
it tastes better than regular diet soda. Its nice to keep around for when you get a craving for soda. But don't overdo it.Email me if you have any other questions, I have a lot of tips for ya! BIGGEST THING TO REMEMBER! WATER < TEA < COFFEE GET YOUR LIQUIDS
IN and DONT EAT PAST 7PM (so your body has plenty of time to digest and flush out all the food and your weight in the morning will be correct)
