How to Make Brazil Nut Parmesan

This healthy vegan parmesan is the kitchen staple that you never knew you needed. It relies on the health benefits of Brazil nuts (think selenium-rich and healthy fats), for a simple healthy twist on an old faithful, parmesan. All you need is a blender and some pantry basics for this delicious cheese alternative.

Yield: 1 cup
Preparation time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup whole, raw, activated Brazil nuts
  • ½ cup nutritional yeast
  • Pinch of unrefined sea salt

Method:

  1. Place everything into a food processor or blender and blend into a fine crumble.
  2. Store in an airtight container or jar in the fridge for 2 - 3 weeks.
